TRX SUSPENSION TRAINING SYSTEM ™ When it comes to Functional Fitness, nothing compares to the TRX training system and it is one of my favourite pieces of equipment. ‘Functional Training’ is training that mimics our movement in every day life (like bending, stretching, twisting, turning) and is vital for health, good posture and muscle balance and it involves training all the muscles in the body. The increase in lean muscle mass that you’ll achieve from regular functional training with the TRX is the key to overall strength and your body’s ability to burn calories. |

Q: I've heard the TRX is great for rehabilitation and physical therapy after an injury?
Many physical therapists are currently using the TRX to help their patients recover from various injuries. The ease of adjusting resistance, functionality of using body weight and the closed kinetic chain nature of many of the exercises means that TRX is great for rehabilitation.
Q: How is Suspension Training different from other types of resistance training?
Traditional weight training often only works one muscle at a time, which is contradictory to the normal coordinated muscle effort used to complete most activities. Focusing on only one muscle at a time is more likely to lead to overuse injuries and muscular imbalances, as well as potentially limit strength and movement gains. Suspension Training allows for the use of multiple planes of motion and works multiple muscles and joints simultaneously.
Yes. Because the user has control over the amount of bodyweight resistance, control of the angle in which they place their body, and can control their stability by their foot placement (wide stance, narrow stance, single leg) means it can easily be used for people who are not professional or performance athletes, nor regularly active. Suspension Training can also be used to assist a number of movements that are, in the first instance, too difficult for many de-conditioned users.
Everyone can benefit from Suspension Training and it is a portable, easy to use piece of equipment that I can bring to you – all you need is a strong door, or somewhere outside, to attach it to.
Because you can effortlessly control the resistance and level of difficulty by simply shifting the position of your body, the TRX Suspension Trainer is perfect for gentle rehabilitation, hardcore athletic training, and everything in between. Suspension Training also allows for complete ranges of motion whilst training which allows for a more functional workout routine.
Q: Is Suspension Training appropriate for people who are out of shape or just beginning an exercise program?
Why Are gymnasts, acrobats and trapeeze artists so strong and graceful?
They swing through the air with the greatest of ease and do handstands with so much poise and grace.
What is their secret?
For hundreds of years gymasts and acrobats have used suspension training to generate super strength and balance by using their own bodyweight.
Now instead of using gym rings or a trapeeze bar you can use these same bodyweight principles by working with the TRX Suspension Trainer.
TRX will allow you to workout at home or anywhere using the same principles of gravity to strengthen your abs and core as used by some of the most powerful athletes in history.
